Stop sending 47 WhatsApp messages. One clean CineCard with your last three verified credits beats ten “please consider me” texts.

## What Chennai Casting Directors Actually Want Casting directors in Kollywood receive 200+ messages every week. Most of them are noise. ### The messages they delete immediately - “Sir, please consider me for any role” - Long paragraphs with no credits attached - 12-minute reels with no timestamp - Voice notes longer than 20 seconds ### What actually gets opened A clean CineCard link with: - Clear headshot - Last three verified credits - Department or role tags - Recent availability That’s it. ### The new rule in 2026 If your profile is not verified on Rosterwoods, many casting directors and line producers will not even open your message. The verification badge has become the quickest trust signal in the industry. ### How to follow up without being annoying Send one message with your CineCard link. Wait 72 hours. If there’s no response, send one short follow-up: “Following up on my CineCard for the [project name] call. Happy to provide any additional references.” Anything more than that and you’re already in the “no” pile. ### The uncomfortable truth Talent matters. But in 2026, the crew and actors who get consistent work are the ones who are easiest to verify and contact. Rosterwoods exists exactly for this reason. Make it easy for them to say yes.
